Soft slabs are a very quick and satisfying way to construct pots. Size is limited but a lot of fun and experimenting happens.

This workshop will address the concept, design and decoration of a soft-slab piece of work.

Porcelain paper clay will be used for the construction.

Participants will be shown how to construct a simple soft-slab bowl and will then design, decorate and assemble a piece of their choice.

The piece will be once-fired (after the workshop) and will then be available to be picked up from the studio.

Duration	1 day – 8.30 am to 5 pm

Requirements	Each participant will be required to supply their own tools & materials as listed in soft slab construction – requirements. A detailed set of notes will be provided to each participant during the workshop. These will explain the aims, advantages and techniques.
Costs	$95 per person plus clay and firing. Light lunch, morning & afternoon tea will be provided (included in the cost).
Payment	A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to book your place at the workshop. Balance is to be paid one week prior to workshop commencement. Direct deposit banking details will be supplied when booking.
Location	all workshops are held at ‘grakay’ 17 Corbett Lane Conondale Qld 4552. We are located about 17 km south-west of Maleny (see location map for details).
