Learning hands-on is a wonderful experience.

I feel that by holding workshops I can in some small way, repay my tutors at college and university to whom I owe a great deal. Sharing my experiences and skills with other people is something I really enjoy doing.

Upcoming 2-day workshop: raku & pit-firing – new & innovative reduction methods for special effects.

You will need to wear clothing that you don't mind getting wet, dirty or worn – wet clay can be surprisingly abrasive!

Participants at firings need to be willing to get close to kilns at very high temperatures. Wood firing is usually an overnight task so bring some warm clothing and a collection of stories you can tell to keep each other awake!!
